Stated Issue

The stated issue of John McCain's political advertisement was concern for the deepening financial crisis. Large companies are currently carrying a lot of debt. Growing distrust of borrower's ability to repay and persistant misrepresentation of the value of corperate holdings has limited the flow of money between companies and individuals. For example, banks are unwilling to make car loans. This means automobile companies are holding inventory longer. They pay longer on the loans that they took out for the manufature if these cars. Many American jobs have been lost due to a decrease in business productivity. Banks are approaching bankrupsy because people have taken loans that they are not able to maintain. John McCain states the issue while assuring the American people that "your savings, your jobs, i'll [McCain] keep them safe." There is an obvious pattern toward another Great Depression and John McCain hopes to put an end to this downward spiral before it gets out of hand.
